Lighting a Beekeeping Smoker

Introduction

In this film we're going to show you the correct way to light your smoker. A smoker is used in bee keeping to sedate the bees. When a few puffs of smoke are billowed around the entrance of the hive, the bees will begin to consume their honey, and be less interested in defending the hive.

Where possible, you should use organic waste material; this will be better for you, the bees, and the environment.

<li>Some dry organic material i.e. wood</li>
